Spring Forward: Goal Setting Ahead

Hello Lovelies! Welcome to a beautiful new year and a new season. We’ve just entered Spring, and time is not the only thing that we should expect to spring forward. I tend to notice a trend of people falling off of their goals they set at the beginning of the year (aka New Year Resolutions) around spring (I must admit, I’m guilty of this myself as well). Whether you’ve been steady working toward your goals, began to slack, or you’ve completely fallen off, we can all benefit from a personal check-in.

Revisit the Goals/Resolutions You Set at the Start of the Year:

Did you set any resolutions for the new year? Not everyone does, and that’s fine. But I do encourage everyone to set goals for themselves. This new season is the perfect time to take inventory of what you’ve set out to achieve, what you’ve accomplished, and what still needs work.

Declutter and Decompress

Wherever you are in your journey, take time to decompress and declutter your mind and physical space. Don’t overwork or exhaust yourself trying to reach insurmountable goals. Don’t beat yourself up if you fell off or if you aren’t where you wanted to be at this point. Relax, eliminate distractions, and get in a clear headspace as much as you can. Approach your goals with a fresh view.

Refocus and Spring Forward

Once you’ve taken inventory of your goals, celebrate your victories and build on them; take note of your setbacks and work on them. Set new goals or continue working on existing ones. Set goals for the year with realistic marks you can measure throughout the year. Consider this the first checkpoint of the year, and spring forward from here.

What are you doing to stay on track or get back on track toward reaching your goals?
